Use this guide to prepare a clearer technical request. Final manufacturing feasibility is confirmed against the complete RFQ, drawings and project specification.
Define the connection
Identify the fitting type and whether each end is threaded, welded, socketed, pressed or drawing-specific.
Give measurable dimensions
State nominal size, outside diameter, wall thickness, overall length and every critical tolerance. Mark reference-only dimensions separately.
Name material and standard
Provide the material grade, dimensional standard and required edition. A generic description such as stainless steel is not enough for production review.
Describe service conditions
State the medium, operating environment and any project requirements that affect material, sealing, finish or cleaning.
Agree inspection and delivery
List required gauges, dimensional records, material documents, marking, packing, quantity and destination before quotation.
Standards can be revised and projects may add special requirements. State the designation, edition and supplementary conditions in the RFQ.
