Use this guide to prepare a clearer technical request. Final manufacturing feasibility is confirmed against the complete RFQ, drawings and project specification.
Review controlled inputs
Confirm the current purchase specification, approved drawing, standard edition and quantity are available to production and inspection.
Verify material identity
Check the agreed material-document scope, heat or batch identity and marking-transfer rules.
Inspect functional dimensions
Measure critical lengths, bores, wall, angles, sealing faces and thread gauges appropriate to the fitting.
Check surface and marking
Assess finish, cleanliness, coating, identification and end protection against the purchase requirement.
Release packing and documents
Reconcile quantity, packing, labels and the agreed inspection-document set before dispatch.
Record nonconformities
Define how deviations are identified, reviewed and approved before any affected product can be released.
Standards can be revised and projects may add special requirements. State the designation, edition and supplementary conditions in the RFQ.
